Town Mayor visits Beaumont Primary School

On Friday 17th July Hadleigh Town Mayor, Councillor Trevor Sheldrick, visited Beaumont Primary School to award the children with a special prize for their efforts in designing posters for a district wide 'Clean For The Queen' Competition which was organised earlier this year.  The Mayor was so impressed by the quality and quantity of the entries that the school received a £50 book token.  The Mayor remarked on how it was so positive that the children supported a project, the aim of which was to benefit the local community.  The Tidy Town Volunteers will be using some of the posters around the town to make people stop and think - then use the bins provided around the town and not to throw litter on the ground.
